Priti Bhosale

Priti Bhosale is an urban farmer and permaculturalist based in Mumbai, India. She works with multiple partners and organizations such as Green Souls to build gardens that provide food to marginalized communities. Her work has lead her to create and implement roof-top farms, balcony kitchen gardens and sustainably operated farms. She has developed over five farms in 2014 including Tata Cancer Patients hospital, St Paul’s orphanage, Dongri Juvenile Centre, Deonar Women’s Shelter Home and Cheshire Home for Disabled. Priti is involved with conducting countless farming workshops in schools, residential complexes, colleges and corporate offices. She is passionate about education and works to help establish farming curriculums for primary and secondary schools alike. Priti has a compassionate understanding of the effort that goes into promoting environmental sustainability and has made it her missions to share the many teachings she has acquired along her journey. Subversive Gardener supports Priti Bhosale by introducing her work to design and engineering students in order to develop solutions to some of their agricultural challenges.
